Former WWE Star Made First InRing Appearance After Release From The Company
WWE is known to be the home of some of the remarkable talents in the history of the sport. However, it is a common sight to see many dreams crushed as athletes who are not able to rise to the occasion are eventually released by the company.
One such star, who dreams of becoming a major player in WWE has ventured out to other opportunities and recently made his first in-ring appearance since being released by the Stamford-based promotion.
The star we are talking about is Dabba Kato, real name Babatunde Aiyegbusi. He recently competed in Prime Time Wrestling, under the ring name Baba Thunder in Poland on February 4.
PTW’s commentator Arek Paterek took to his X to announce the confrontation between Thunder and the promotion’s champion, Dawid Puncher Seńko.
“Former WWE wrestler @DabbaKatoWWE returns at @PTWrestlingPL Gold Rush as BabaThunder to face the champion, Dawid Puncher Seńko, after the main event of the show! #wrestling #wrestlingpl #prowrestling.”
Dabba Kato signed with WWE back in April 2016, becoming a regular presence on their developmental show, NXT until 2020. After a few main roster appearances on RAW, he would align himself with Apollo Crews as Commander Azeez.
However, things would not work out for the promising star and he would eventually be released in September 2023. So, we will have to wait and see how this new journey for Dabbo Kato will unfold in a different wrestling company.
Do you think he would become a top star in PTW? Sound off in the comments!
